So I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm outraged by the way they are treating Adam Lambert after his amazing American Music Awards performance.
If you guys didn't watch the AMAs, Adam Lambert closed the show performing his hit single, "For Your Entertainment." The performance caused a lot of controversy because of his antics on stage, putting two of his male dancers on leashes, shoving one of his male dancer's face into his crotch, and making out with his keyboardist, whom is also male.
I don't see the big deal here. Janet Jackson opened the show with an 8 minute long medley, in which one of her songs, she grabbed her male dancer's crotch sexually before flipping him over. Back in 2003 on the MTV VMA's, Madonna liplocked with Christina Aguilera & Britney Spears, but they still continued to replay that moment over and over on television. But the stunts that Adam Lambert pulled on the AMA's are considered unacceptable and repulsive. Why?
It would be no different if Britney, Gaga, Christina, or Janet did these things, but since Adam Lambert is a openly gay male with no interest in what people think about him, it's causing a lot of controversy. ABC's Good Morning America cancelled his performance on their show due to the AMA performance, but CBS's Early Show quickly snatched him up and put him on their line-up.
People need to learn that homosexuality is never going to fade, and they just need to learn to accept it. Adam Lambert is a great performer and musical artist, and his career is only going to go further from here. People are going to need to accept him as who he is, and learn that being different isn't wrong. As Lady Gaga said last night on Fuse's On The Record; "It's always wrong to hate, but never wrong to love."
What do you guys think?
